What's on tap for CBA in 2012

I've always got a project list going in my head and on my dry erase board, but now that I'm done with graduate school, I really hope to be able to take advantage of having more time to make more art.  Of course, there's the "big girl job" hunt and everything else I get myself into that takes up time as well ;)
Some of the projects I'd like to complete are:
  • making bottle lamps
  • learning how to do embroidery
  • anything with sewing and/or knitting - going to buy a machine soon!
  • collaging the eyeball photos, finally!
  • finish two paintings that I've started (one several years ago, and one from earlier this year)
  • and I've got some more bottle cap art ideas up my sleeve, too ;)

Mardi Gras is quickly approaching!

Flyday, or the Friday before Mardi Gras, is the day that the parade group I'm a part of walk through the French Quarter and show off our handmade bustiers.  This coming year, 2012, we'll even have a dance routine to further dazzle all of the parade goers! If you've never come to see us, make this coming year your first time! We are a group of 50 quite fabulous women, and we'll have cups and second line scarves to pass out to our most enthusiastic followers ;)

Hey Y'all!

This blog will operate just like the Facebook Fan page.  I'll post what I'm doing with pictures and descriptions, and if I have even more to say, I won't be as limited to space.  Eventually, and hopefully sooner than later, I will be off of Facebook completely.  The older I get, the less I like being so out in cyberspace - at least in a Facebook way.  :)

Happy New Year, everyone!
